Dr. Jennifer Meller is the founder and director of Park Avenue Medicine, an Internal Medicine practice on New York City’s Upper East Side. Dr. Meller graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1996, and completed her internship and residency training at NYU/ Bellevue in 1999. She then joined the faculty practice at New York Presbyterian – Columbia, and spent over ten years practicing Internal Medicine in Riverdale, NY, where she built a very large and successful predominantly Geriatric practice. During this time, Dr. Meller became well versed in the particular challenges that aging patients and their families face. She spent many hours outside of fulfilling a purely medical role, helping patients and families manage the highly emotional and personal issues that arise as a result of natural aging, as well as unexpected illness. She remains passionate about easing the aging process, and is excited to be part of the Theia team as they fulfill their mission of providing high level service and comfort for patients and families as they and their loved one’s age.
Dr. Meller holds an MBA with Honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (May 2016). While she continues to practice Internal Medicine, she is currently working on launching a digital health company: Navimize. The Navimize mission is to improve the patient experience, and the company’s first product uses advanced technology to reduce waiting room wait times.
Dr. Meller has been recognized by her peers nationally as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor (2015 – 2017), and as a NY Times SuperDoctor (2014 – 2017). She resides in Westchester, NY with her husband, a gastroenterologist, and two daughters.
