During this unpredictable year, our holiday celebrations continue to look different than ever before. We are grateful that our community members have created innovative ways to come together. Though we cannot guarantee the safety of each gathering, we are happy to share snapshots from this year’s holiday celebrations.

Bundling up over delicious food

“With outdoor furniture arranged in socially distanced ways and one person serving each dish, our nuclear family came together to enjoy a delicious celebration and a delightful breeze.”

A couple stays safe and supports a local restaurant

“We ordered a small Thanksgiving dinner from a restaurant nearby and spoke to our family over the phone. Although we missed our loved ones, we were happy to take steps to keep everyone safe.”

Quarantine followed by family time

“My family self-isolated in advance so that we could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with my older parents. Earlier in the pandemic, we had quarantined together, and we were grateful to be together again.”

Feeding the body and the soul

“Though we could not eat together, my family wanted to share food with one another. Each family unit prepared one part of Thanksgiving dinner and packed it up for the others. We exchanged the portions while socially distanced and enjoyed a delicious meal cooked with so much love.”
